In addition to the Faith, one must also have virtue. As St. James says in his epistle: "Do you see that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only? For even as the body without the spirit is dead; so also faith without works is dead." (2:24, 26) We see the necessity of, not only the true Faith (Mk. 16:16), but also a well-rounded spiritual life. And as St. Alphonsus tells us: "If you pray you are positive of saving your soul; if you do not pray, you are just as positive of losing your soul."
